TikAPI is an unofficial, TikTok-only API on a monthly subscription, founded in 2021 by Elis Kosta. It has two halves. Public endpoints cover profiles, posts, liked videos, comments, followers, hashtags, music, playlists, explore and search. OAuth endpoints act on a TikTok account your user has connected: their feed, notifications, messages, live tools and creator analytics, plus follow, like and comment actions. No other TikTok API in our ranking offers that account-level access.

It ranks sixth for TikTok because it’s hard to check. Its pricing page wouldn’t load for us, so the prices here are third-party reports. There’s no status page or public changelog, and 15% of its Trustpilot reviews are 1-star, citing outages and slow support. If you need OAuth, it’s the only choice on our list. If you don’t, ScrapeCreators, EnsembleData or Influship are the better buy.

Pricing

A monthly subscription with daily request caps, plus a separate credits balance and a monthly fee for extra connected TikTok users. TikAPI’s pricing page wouldn’t load for us, so these plans come from third-party reports (SocialCrawl and Blotato, July to September 2026) and are unconfirmed. The per-1,000 rate assumes you use the full daily cap every day for 30 days; as far as we know, unused requests don’t roll over. EU buyers pay VAT.

Using TikAPI

Signing up

Some plans start with a free trial. Premium OAuth endpoints, such as profile edits and reading messages, need a Business or Enterprise plan, and “special” ones, such as sending messages and starting live streams, are limited to trusted customers.

Making a request

Public endpoints are synchronous REST calls with your API key, returning JSON. For OAuth endpoints, your app sends a TikTok user through TikAPI’s authorisation flow, then passes their account key with each call. You can choose which country requests come from. The official JavaScript and Python SDKs (version 3.2.2, July 2026) wrap both modes.

Documentation

An interactive reference with a sandbox, which reviewers praise, though one 2026 reviewer found it “a bit confusing”. There’s no public changelog or status page, and the help centre wouldn’t render for us.

Pick TikAPI if your product works with users’ own TikTok accounts: nothing else in our ranking does OAuth. For public data, it’s hard to recommend over the field. We couldn’t confirm its prices, it has no status page or changelog, and its 1-star reviews describe outages and slow support. ScrapeCreators covers the most, EnsembleData suits steady daily volume, and Influship suits production apps and AI agents.
