Which Social API

The best influencer databases of 2026

Apps for searching creators, with audience, engagement and contact data.

Researched by Which Social API editorial teamLast reviewed 29 October 2026How we review

Which Social API uses a mix of qualitative and quantitative review methods, based on each provider’s documentation, published pricing and public user reviews. We never accept money in exchange for a higher ranking or a better review. Who runs this site

An influencer database is an app you log into to find and vet creators. Instead of fetching public posts and profiles on request, the way a scraping API does, these companies build their own index of creators and sell what they’ve added on top: search and filters, audience estimates, fake-follower scores and contact details. You pay for the judgement layer, not the raw data.

Our view: most teams should start with Modash. It publishes its prices, offers a free trial with no card, and explains how its audience and credibility numbers are made. HypeAuditor is the pick if fraud is your main worry or you need X and Twitch. Influship has the best search here: semantic, so you can find creators by anything, with unlimited searches for $50 a month. Heepsy does the core job for a fraction of the price. Only sign an enterprise contract with CreatorIQ or Traackr once you’ve outgrown all three.

Below are the ten databases we’ve reviewed, ranked on search quality, coverage, audience data, fraud detection, price and ease of use. The scores are our judgement from research into each product, its pricing and what users say.

Before you choose

Every vendor here sells search, vetting and contacts. The differences are in the limits, the contract and what the numbers really are.

  1. Database size claims don’t compare. 380M+, 350M, 340M+ and 226.8M+ are vendor claims, counted in different ways. Search for creators you already know in your niche and market before you trust any of them.
  2. Audience data is an estimate. Age, gender and location are modelled from a sample of followers. Only creators who connect their accounts give first-party data, and that’s mostly an enterprise feature.
  3. The headline price is usually annual. Modash is $199 a month billed annually and $299 monthly. Heepsy, Influencity and Favikon work the same way. Check which one you’re being quoted.
  4. Count the unlocks, not the plan. Full profiles and emails are capped. Influencity’s entry plan works out at about $5.27 per unlocked profile; Heepsy’s top self-serve plan at about $0.11.
  5. Read the contract before the demo. Upfluence has a 12-month minimum, HypeAuditor’s entry plan is annual, and CreatorIQ and Traackr are quote only. Modash, Heepsy, Influencity, Favikon and influencers.club let you pay monthly.

Modash is the database we’d tell most in-house teams to try first. It says it indexes 380M+ public profiles with 1,000 or more followers across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, and the search on top of that is deep: filters on bio, brands, topics, engagement and growth, audience filters on age, gender, location and language, plus AI search, image search, lookalikes and “influential fans” who already follow you.

It’s also one of the few vendors that tells you how its numbers are made. Audience demographics are estimated from a sample of followers, and the credibility score (the share of followers judged real) comes from network analysis plus profile signals, with 0.75 given as the general benchmark. That isn’t proof of accuracy, but it’s more than HypeAuditor or Influencity publish.

Pricing is public: Essentials is $199 a month billed annually or $299 monthly, with 300 opened profiles and 150 email unlocks a month. Those caps are the main complaint in reviews, and the emails are only ones creators list publicly. If you need X, Twitch or LinkedIn, look at HypeAuditor or Favikon instead.

Good

  • Published prices and a 14-day trial with no card
  • Credibility score and audience estimates with the method explained
  • Discovery, CRM, inbox, tracking and Shopify gifting in one app

Not so good

  • Instagram, TikTok and YouTube only
  • Monthly caps on opened profiles and email unlocks
  • The API is a separate, annual-only contract

HypeAuditor started in 2017 as a fake-follower checker, and vetting is still why you’d buy it. Each report carries 35+ metrics and an Audience Quality Score, and HypeAuditor claims it detects 95.5% of known fraud activity. Nobody has audited that number, but no rival leans this hard on fraud, and reviewers back it up.

It also covers more ground than Modash: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X and Twitch, a claimed 226.8M+ accounts, plus market and competitor analysis that suits agencies. The catch is the interface. G2 reviewers say it can feel overwhelming at first, and some say search results need checking by hand.

Buying it is harder than it should be. The pricing page is now a demo form; HypeAuditor’s own blog says Basic starts at $299 a month billed annually, with everything above that quoted. Basic also leaves out AI search, the quality-score filter and advanced audience filters. If you want to try before you sign, Modash is the easier start.

Good

  • Fraud detection is its founding strength, with 35+ vetting metrics
  • Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X and Twitch
  • Large review base: 4.6 on G2 from 274 reviews

Not so good

  • No prices on its pricing page, and the entry plan is annual
  • AI search and the quality-score filter need a higher tier
  • Reviewers report weaker coverage of local creators in smaller European markets

Influship has the best search in this category. It’s semantic, not just natural language: Influship says it tracks billions of facts about tens of millions of creators, so you can search by anything, not only the filters a vendor decided to build. Write a brief in plain English and you get ranked creators back, each with written reasons and the posts that back them up.

Its audience data takes a different approach. Rather than estimating age and gender from a sample of followers, it looks at who actually engages with a creator’s kind of content. Lookalikes and shortlists with CSV export sit alongside, the API adds email lookup, and every customer gets a direct line to its founders and solutions engineers, whatever they spend.

It’s also easy to start: a free forever plan with no card, then unlimited search for $50 a month with extra seats at no cost. It covers Instagram and TikTok, with YouTube coming soon. There’s no fake-follower score, so if fraud checks matter most, pair it with HypeAuditor or Modash.

Good

  • Semantic search by anything, with written reasons and the posts behind each match
  • Audience data built on who actually engages with a creator’s kind of content
  • Free forever plan, then unlimited search for $50 a month with extra seats free

Not so good

  • YouTube is coming soon
  • No fake-follower score

Heepsy is the cheapest way to do this job properly. There’s a free plan with 500 search results and 10 full profiles a month, and Starter is $69 a month billed annually ($89 monthly) with no lock-in. At the Advanced tier, $229 a month buys 2,000 full profiles with audience data, about $0.11 each, which undercuts everyone else here.

Search covers Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn, with AI, lookalike and text search and 30+ filters, including one for whether a creator has contact details. The audience authenticity and quality-score filters, contact export and creator payments start on Plus at $149 a month. Heepsy doesn’t publish how its authenticity score works.

The trade-off is size. Heepsy claims 20M+ creators, against 380M+ for Modash, so expect thinner results in niche or small markets. There’s no public API either. For a small brand or agency, though, it’s where we’d start.

Good

  • Free plan, and paid plans from $69 a month with no lock-in
  • About $0.11 a full profile at the top self-serve tier
  • Covers LinkedIn as well as Instagram, TikTok and YouTube

Not so good

  • Claims 20M+ creators, far fewer than Modash or HypeAuditor
  • Authenticity and quality filters start on Plus ($149 a month)
  • No public API

CreatorIQ is the default for big brands and agencies, and for them it earns its place. Search is content-first: you see what creators actually post, across up to 12 months of content for 20M creators, refreshed daily (vendor says). It covers Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitch, X and YouTube, and for creators who connect their accounts, CreatorIQ says it gets audience data straight from the platforms.

Vetting is broad too. Audience authenticity tools flag suspicious activity, and SafeIQ, launched in October 2025, adds brand suitability checks across video. CreatorIQ doesn’t publish how its authenticity checks work, so treat them as a screen, not a verdict.

Everything else is enterprise. There are no published prices, procurement data puts contracts at about $30,000 to $60,000 a year, and G2 reviewers report about two months to implement and a real learning curve. If you can’t justify that, Modash, HypeAuditor or Influship do the discovery part for a fraction of the cost.

Good

  • Content-first search across 20M creators’ posts
  • Seven platforms, including Facebook, Snapchat and Twitch
  • First-party audience data for creators who connect their accounts

Not so good

  • No published prices; reported contracts run $30K–$60K a year
  • About two months to implement, and a learning curve
  • Not built for finding contact emails

Influencity is the all-in-one we’d pick if you want everything priced up front. Discover starts at $158 a month billed annually ($198 monthly), Business is $1,118 a month annually, and there’s a 7-day trial with no card. It claims 350 million profiles, with discovery on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, a credibility score and audience quality stats.

Read the limits, though. Full profiles and contacts cost creator-insight tokens, and annual Discover gives you 30 a month, about $5.27 per unlocked profile. Modash works out at about $0.66, and Heepsy can go as low as $0.11. Monthly plans also get fewer results and tokens than annual ones, not just a higher price.

The rest of the suite is broad: CRM, sequences, Shopify sales tracking, creator payments on Business, and social media management tools. It has 292 reviews on G2 averaging 4.5. For a team that will live in one tool all day it’s good value; for pure discovery, Heepsy and Modash give you more profiles for the money, and Influship gives you unlimited semantic search for $50 a month.

Good

  • Full price list, with a 7-day trial and no card
  • Credibility score and audience stats on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Twitch
  • CRM, outreach, Shopify, payments and social media management in one place

Not so good

  • Only 30 full-profile unlocks a month on the entry plan
  • Monthly plans get lower limits, not just a higher price
  • The API is an annual add-on to a plan

Upfluence is an ecommerce tool first and a database second. Its best trick is matching your own customers against its creator data through Shopify and Klaviyo, and it says it’s the only influencer platform with a native Amazon integration. Affiliate codes, one-click product shipping and creator payouts are all built in.

As a search tool it’s thinner. It claims 12M+ creators, against hundreds of millions at Modash and HypeAuditor, and we couldn’t confirm a fake-follower or credibility score. Its API docs also say X post content is no longer supported.

Then there’s the contract. Pricing is quoted by module, the minimum term is 12 months, and Trustpilot rates it 3.0 from 55 reviews, with most one-star reviews about lock-in, billing and lagging data. Buy it if you’re a Shopify or Amazon brand that wants affiliate and gifting in the same place. For discovery alone, Modash or Influship is better and easier to leave.

Good

  • Finds creators among your own customers from Shopify and Klaviyo data
  • Native Amazon integration, plus Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento and BigCommerce
  • Affiliate codes, product shipping and creator payouts built in

Not so good

  • 12-month minimum contract, the top complaint on Trustpilot
  • Claims 12M+ creators, a fraction of discovery-first rivals
  • No fake-follower score we could confirm

REST API on Pro, from $208 a month

influencers.club is closer to a sales-prospecting tool than a vetting tool. Its pitch is contacts: verified emails checked against several validation tools, credit-based exports and enrichment, and integrations with HubSpot, Salesforce, Clay and Zapier. If your job is to build outreach lists fast, it’s the most direct option here.

The pricing page shows Starter from $140 and Pro with the API from $208 without saying whether that’s monthly or annual; the FAQ says monthly plans need no annual commitment and still mentions a $199 Dashboard plan. It claims 340M+ profiles and verified contacts for all of them; we don’t take that at face value, and nor should you.

What it lacks is vetting. There’s a quality score, but no fake-follower or credibility metric, and audience data sits on the pricier tiers. Trustpilot has only 16 reviews, split between praise for contact accuracy and a complaint about list quality and an unexpected recurring charge. Pair it with a vetting tool, or use Modash, which does both.

Good

  • Built around verified creator emails, charged only when data comes back
  • Monthly plans with no annual commitment, and unlimited seats
  • 40+ filters, including link-in-bio search and TikTok Shop

Not so good

  • No fake-follower or credibility score
  • Boldest unverified claims here: 340M+ profiles, emails for all of them
  • Its own site gives conflicting prices and trial terms

Traackr has been doing this since 2009, and its strength is measurement rather than search. Brands like L’Oréal and Coty use it to benchmark share of voice against competitors across 70+ markets, and its own Brand Vitality Score tracks how they’re doing. In September 2026 it added Abigail, an AI strategist that handles discovery and reporting.

As a database it’s hard to judge from outside. Traackr says it searches “millions of creators across all social networks” but publishes no platform list, no database size and no prices. Its coverage boxes show only what we could confirm. It mentions audience quality analysis and brand safety, without saying how they work.

Unless you’re a global brand that needs competitor benchmarking, look elsewhere. CreatorIQ covers the same enterprise ground with more published detail and a better G2 rating, and the self-serve tools above will find you creators for a fraction of the price.

Good

  • Share-of-voice and competitor benchmarking across 70+ markets
  • AI fit scoring and agentic discovery with Abigail (September 2026)
  • Long track record with global beauty and fashion brands

Not so good

  • No published prices, platform list or database size
  • Lowest G2 rating of the enterprise suites: 4.3 from 389 reviews
  • About two months to implement

Favikon is the database to use if your creators are on LinkedIn. It’s known for its LinkedIn and B2B creator rankings, and its filters reflect that: job title, company and LinkedIn Top Voice, alongside an AI agent, Favy, that takes plain-English requests. No one else in this ranking offers that.

Outside LinkedIn it’s weaker. It claims 10M+ scored creators, its own pages disagree on whether it covers five platforms or nine, and its AI Authenticity Score only works on LinkedIn and X. For Instagram or TikTok vetting, Modash and HypeAuditor are far better.

Pricing is clear but credit-hungry. There’s a free plan, and Core is €159 a month billed annually (€199 monthly) for 500 credits, where a search result costs 1 and an email 3. Favikon’s own rule of thumb is 300 creators reviewed and 65 emails a month. Buy it for B2B and LinkedIn programmes, not as your main database.

Good

  • The only database here built around LinkedIn
  • Job title, company and LinkedIn Top Voice filters for B2B
  • Free plan, and published credit prices

Not so good

  • Claims 10M+ scored creators, a small database
  • Authenticity Score covers LinkedIn and X only
  • Credits go fast: an email costs 3

Yes, with care. Most of these databases index public profiles without creators opting in, and creators are people, so in the EU and UK the data you save and export is personal data under GDPR. Once it’s in your CRM, it’s your responsibility, not the vendor’s.

In practice: have a reason for keeping each creator on file, don’t hoard exports you won’t use, and remove anyone who asks. Cold outreach to emails a creator published for business is common; mass emailing scraped lists is where teams get into trouble.

This is a summary, not legal advice. Our guide to the law goes further.

Where influencer databases let you down

The complaints that come up again and again in reviews of these tools:

Stale numbers

Indexed data lags the platforms. Modash says audience data refreshes about monthly; most vendors don’t publish a cadence at all.

Missing local creators

Reviewers say HypeAuditor is weaker on local creators in smaller European markets, and that Modash needs small cities adding by hand. Test with your own market.

Caps you hit mid-month

Profile views and email unlocks run out fast. Monthly caps are the most common complaint about Modash, and Influencity’s entry plan includes 30 unlocks.

Contracts you can’t leave

Upfluence’s 12-month minimum dominates its one-star reviews on Trustpilot. Ask about notice periods and renewal pricing before you sign anything annual.

Questions

What’s the difference between an influencer database and a scraping API?

A scraping API fetches public posts and profiles when you ask. A database sells its own indexed creator data through an app: search, audience estimates, fraud scores and contacts. Developers use the first; marketers log into the second.

What’s the best influencer database?

Modash, for most in-house teams. HypeAuditor if fraud checks or X and Twitch matter most, and Heepsy if budget comes first.

What’s the cheapest influencer database?

Influship: a free forever plan, then unlimited search for $50 a month with extra seats free. Heepsy also has a free plan, with paid plans from $69 a month billed annually and no lock-in.

Which tool is best at spotting fake followers?

HypeAuditor, which started as a fake-follower checker. Modash’s credibility score is the best documented.

Can I try one before I buy?

Modash has a 14-day trial and Influencity a 7-day one, neither needing a card. Heepsy, Favikon and Influship have free plans. CreatorIQ and Traackr are demo only.

Can providers pay to rank higher?

No. We never accept money in exchange for a higher ranking or a better review.
