TikHub vs EnsembleData
Two TikTok-first APIs that also cover other platforms. One is pay per request with more endpoints than anyone; the other is a monthly plan with fewer surprises. EnsembleData is the safer pick for steady TikTok volume; TikHub is broader and cheaper, but its terms let it resell derived data and all sales are final.

The quick answer
For most teams, EnsembleData. Its 20 TikTok endpoints cover what most projects need, the unit cost of every endpoint is in its public docs, its prices haven’t changed since at least January 2025, and it says it collects public data without fake accounts. At $100 a month it isn’t the cheapest way in, but you know what you’re buying.
TikHub wins on breadth and entry price. It has 164 TikTok endpoints, including live rooms, Shop, ads and creator search insights, plus Douyin, Xiaohongshu and other Chinese platforms, from a $5 top-up at $0.001 a request. But its terms let it sell aggregated, de-identified data derived from your requests unless you opt out, all sales are final, and its status page was down on 29 October 2026. Test it hard before you put it in production.

Pricing compared
TikHub is prepaid and per request, with automatic daily volume discounts on eligible endpoints. EnsembleData is a monthly plan with a daily unit allowance that doesn’t roll over.
Features side by side
If you’re building on the API
TikHub’s TikTok API is big and untidy: 164 endpoints split across Web, App V3 and other versions, often several for the same data at different prices, and some names only half translated. Auth is a Bearer token, 10 requests a second are included, and there are SDKs in Python, Java, TypeScript, Go and C++, though most besides Python haven’t been updated since March 2025.
EnsembleData’s is smaller and tidier: 20 TikTok endpoints, each with worked unit-cost examples in the docs, and a depth setting that fetches many pages in one call. Its official Python and Node SDKs report the units charged. The token goes in the URL, which can leak into logs.

Where each falls short
TikHub
Section 8.5 of its terms lets it sell or license aggregated, de-identified data derived from the content customers access through its API, unless you email to opt out. All sales are final. Its status page returned an error (HTTP 521) on 29 October 2026. Older GitHub issues on its Python SDK report top-ups and payments not being credited. It has two Trustpilot reviews, and its own pages contradict each other on whether it serves government customers.
EnsembleData
You pay monthly whether you use it or not, and unused daily units vanish at midnight UTC. There are no transcripts and no Shop or ads data. Outside TikTok its coverage thins out quickly, and it has no Chinese platforms at all. The token sits in the URL. Its Trustpilot sample is 11 reviews, none in the last 12 months.

Questions
Is TikHub or EnsembleData better?
EnsembleData for most teams: published prices, clean docs and no data-resale clause. TikHub if you need its extra endpoints or Chinese platforms and are comfortable with its terms.
Which is cheaper?
TikHub, on paper: $1 per 1,000 requests at its base rate, falling to $0.50 on eligible endpoints, against EnsembleData’s $2.22 to $0.93 per 1,000 units. Some TikHub endpoints cost up to $10 per 1,000, though, and you can’t see which until you sign up.
Does TikHub sell my data?
Its terms (section 8.5) allow it to sell or license aggregated, de-identified data derived from publicly available content accessed through its API. You can opt out by emailing team@tikhub.io.
Can I get a refund from TikHub?
Usually not. Its terms say all sales are final, with exceptions at its discretion if you ask within 7 days. A separate refund policy allows refunds only when an endpoint doesn’t work as documented.
Which covers Chinese platforms?
TikHub: Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Kuaishou, Weibo, Bilibili and WeChat, among others. EnsembleData covers none of them.
