ScrapeCreators vs EnsembleData
The two TikTok APIs we rank highest, with opposite billing: credit packs that never expire against a monthly plan with a daily allowance. ScrapeCreators covers more of TikTok with credits that never expire; EnsembleData is cheaper per post and follower if you use its daily allowance.

The quick answer
For most teams, ScrapeCreators. It’s the only single API we rank that returns all six TikTok data types we track, adding the transcripts EnsembleData lacks, plus Shop, ads and live status. You start with a $47 credit pack instead of a $100 monthly plan, and credits never expire, so a quiet month costs nothing.
EnsembleData wins on steady, predictable volume. If you use your daily allowance, it’s the cheapest serious option for posts and followers: about $0.24 per 1,000 posts and $0.04 per 1,000 followers on the $100 Wood plan, and one call can fetch many pages with a date cut-off for monitoring. Its official Python and Node SDKs help too. But units reset at midnight UTC and don’t roll over, so spiky workloads waste money.

Features side by side
If you’re building on the API
ScrapeCreators has 27 TikTok paths, including Shop, and charges one credit for most calls, with the exceptions spelled out per endpoint: 26 for the audience-country estimate, 10 for media downloads. You page with a cursor, one call per page, and responses report the credits charged. There are no official SDKs, only an MCP server, a CLI and an OpenAPI spec.
EnsembleData has 20 TikTok endpoints, and its docs give worked unit-cost examples for each, which makes costs easy to model. A depth setting fetches several pages server-side in one call, and some endpoints take an oldest-date cut-off. The official Python and Node SDKs return the units charged. One flaw: the API token goes in the URL, where it can end up in logs.

Where each falls short
ScrapeCreators
The audience-country estimate costs 26 credits a profile, and long AI transcripts cost 10 credits a minute if you opt in. Its own docs say the profile feed is “not an exhaustive inventory”. There’s no official SDK and no SOC 2, and its status page lists 36 past incidents across all platforms, most of them platform changes fixed within hours. The $10 pack it sold in 2025 is gone, so the cheapest way in is now $47.
EnsembleData
Daily units don’t roll over, and Wood’s 1,500 units cap you at 1,500 profiles a day. There are no transcripts and no Shop or ads data, and follower lists stop at the 10,000 most recent, because that’s all TikTok exposes. Putting the token in the URL is a security smell. Trustpilot has only 11 reviews, none in the last year. In July 2026 a TikTok IP ban took its user info and search down for about six and a half hours.
