The short version
Pick it if
- Vetting creators for fake followers is the main job
- You need X or Twitch alongside Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
- You’re an agency that wants market and competitor analysis
Skip it if
- You want to see prices or try the full product before talking to sales
- You’re a small team that wants to pay month to month
- You need an API whose price you can check before you start
HypeAuditor began in 2017 as an Instagram fake-follower checker and has grown into an all-in-one platform: discovery, vetting reports, CRM and outreach, campaigns, and market and competitor analysis. Vetting is still why you’d buy it. Reports carry 35+ metrics and an Audience Quality Score, and HypeAuditor claims it detects 95.5% of known fraud activity, a figure nobody has audited independently.
It covers Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X and Twitch, and claims 226.8M+ accounts. The trouble is buying it. The pricing page is now a demo form, HypeAuditor’s own blog says the entry plan is $299 a month billed annually, and the API is a separate paid service quoted by sales.

Pricing
HypeAuditor no longer publishes prices. Its blog, updated in September 2026, says Basic starts at $299 a month billed annually, every plan includes all modules with different usage limits, and the best rates come with two-year agreements. Everything else, including the API, is quoted.

Using HypeAuditor
Signing up
You can open a free account with free media plans, campaign management and demo versions of other features. A full trial and every paid plan go through sales, starting from the demo form on the pricing page. API access is sold separately, also through sales.
Making a request
Reports are built on request. Ask for one and the API returns 202 while it’s being generated, so you poll until it’s ready. A separate endpoint shows the report credits and discovery requests left on your subscription.
Documentation
Public docs at hypeauditor.readme.io cover a lot: a suggester, reports for Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, Twitch and Snapchat, discovery search, lists, campaign management, media plans, Instagram market analysis, recruitment and email unlocks. The help centre has articles on handling 202 responses, 429 rate-limit errors and how failed and repeat requests are charged.
Verdict
HypeAuditor is the one to buy if fake followers are your biggest worry, or if you need X and Twitch in the same tool. It ranks just behind Modash as a database because Modash publishes its prices, lets you try everything without a call and is easier to use. As an API it drops to fourth: the data is strong, but with no public price and reports that need polling, Influship, Modash and influencers.club are easier to plan around.

Questions
How much does HypeAuditor cost?
HypeAuditor’s blog says Basic starts at $299 a month billed annually, and higher tiers are quoted. The pricing page itself is now a demo form. Capterra lists $399 per user per month, which conflicts with HypeAuditor’s own figure.
Is there a free version of HypeAuditor?
There’s a free account with free media plans, campaign management and demo versions of other features, plus a free creator check on its website. A full trial goes through sales.
Does HypeAuditor have an API?
Yes, sold separately from the app through sales, with no public price. The docs are public and cover reports on six platforms, discovery, campaign management and market analysis.
How accurate is HypeAuditor’s fake-follower detection?
HypeAuditor claims it detects 95.5% of known fraud activity. We haven’t found an independent audit of that. No rival leans harder on fraud checks, and G2 reviewers single it out as a strength.
Which platforms does HypeAuditor cover?
Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X and Twitch, with Snapchat reports in the API. There’s no LinkedIn, Facebook or Pinterest.
HypeAuditor or Modash?
Modash for most in-house teams: it’s cheaper to start, publishes its prices and has a no-card trial. HypeAuditor for fraud checks and X and Twitch coverage.
