The best influencer data APIs of 2026
APIs for building creator search, enrichment and vetting into your own product.
Researched by Which Social API editorial teamLast reviewed 29 October 2026How we review
Which Social API uses a mix of qualitative and quantitative review methods, based on each provider’s documentation, published pricing and public user reviews. We never accept money in exchange for a higher ranking or a better review. Who runs this site
An influencer data API lets you build creator search, enrichment and vetting into your own product. You send a brief, a handle or an email, and get back creators from the vendor’s own index, with the things a scraper can’t give you: search across millions of profiles, lookalikes, audience estimates, fake-follower scores and contact emails. A scraping API is different: it fetches what’s public on a profile or post when you ask, and leaves search and modelling to you. An influencer database is the same kind of index sold as an app that marketers log into. The API is the developer’s door to it, usually sold separately and often priced very differently.
In this category, the door matters as much as the data. Two of the five vendors publish no API price at all. One wants a $16,200 annual contract, paid by bank transfer. Only two let you sign up and start building today. Feature lists look similar; how you get access doesn’t.
Influship comes first: the best search here, semantic rather than filter-based, billed after use with no minimum and built for production apps and AI agents. Modash is the pick for vetting if you can fund it, with the deepest audience and fraud data and every credit cost published. influencers.club is the self-serve route to multi-platform data and validated emails. HypeAuditor is the pick for fraud checks across the most platforms, at a price you’ll only learn on a sales call. Skip Upfluence unless you already use it.
Our picks
Full ranking
Before you choose
Most of what separates these APIs is on the pricing page and in the docs, not the feature list.
- Check the minimum before the features. Modash’s Discovery API is $16,200 a year, annual only. HypeAuditor and Upfluence are quote only, and Upfluence has a 12-month minimum. influencers.club and Influship let you start this week.
- Your app plan probably doesn’t include the API. Modash says app plans can’t be used for API access, HypeAuditor sells the API as a separate paid service, and Upfluence sells API tokens through an account manager.
- Price the calls you’ll make most. Credits hide big spreads. At Modash a search result costs 0.01 credits and a full report costs 1. At influencers.club discovery is 0.01 a creator and full enrichment is 1. A search-heavy product and a report-heavy one pay very different bills.
- Audience data is an estimate. Age, gender and location come from the vendor’s models, not from the platforms. Modash says its estimates come from a sample of followers and aren’t available when a follower list is private.
- Database sizes are claims. 380M+, 340M+, 226.8M+, 12M+, 10M+: none of them is independently verified, and Modash’s own pages give both 250M+ and 380M+.
Three ways to buy creator data by API
The vendors split by how they sell access more than by what they return. Pick the model that fits your budget and how sure you are of the use case.
Annual or quote-only contracts
A yearly contract, priced in credits or tokens, agreed with sales.
- Good for
- Deep data, audience and fraud scores, account managers
- Watch for
- High minimums, long contracts, no way to try at volume first
- Examples
- Modash, HypeAuditor, Upfluence
Self-serve subscription
A monthly plan with a credit allowance and an API key on sign-up.
- Good for
- Starting quickly, contact enrichment, predictable spend
- Watch for
- Credits per call vary widely; check what the entry plan includes
- Examples
- influencers.club
Pay as you go
No plan. You pay per call, billed after you use it.
- Good for
- Production apps, AI agents, uneven usage
- Watch for
- Fewer platforms so far; volume discounts on request
- Examples
- Influship

- Freshness

Influship has the best search behind any API in this category, which is why it ranks first. It’s semantic, not just natural language: Influship says it tracks billions of facts about tens of millions of creators, so you can search by anything, not only the filters a vendor decided to build. Send a brief in plain English and you get ranked creators back with written reasons and evidence. Lookalikes take up to 10 weighted seeds, and /creators/match scores up to 100 creators against a brief as good, neutral or avoid.
Its audience data takes a different approach from the rest of the category. Rather than estimating age and gender from a sample of followers, it looks at who actually engages with a creator’s kind of content. Email lookup sits alongside, and search and creator data cover Instagram and TikTok, with YouTube coming soon. There’s no fake-follower score, so if fraud checks are the job, pair it with HypeAuditor or Modash.
It’s built to sit inside production apps and AI agents. You’re billed after use like any other infrastructure, with no minimum and 500 free credits to start. Every endpoint price is published: a search is 25 credits plus 2 per creator, about $22.50 per 1,000 creators, and email lookups are $50 per 1,000 found, with misses and failed calls free. The docs are detailed, with an OpenAPI spec, a TypeScript SDK and an MCP server, and every customer gets a direct line to its founders and solutions engineers, whatever they spend.
Good
- Semantic search by anything, with written reasons and the evidence behind each match
- Billed after use like the rest of your infrastructure: no minimum, every price published, failed calls and email misses free
- Built for production apps and AI agents, with an OpenAPI spec, a TypeScript SDK and an MCP server
Not so good
- YouTube is coming soon
- No fake-follower score
2. Modash
Deepest filters and fraud data, if you can fund the minimumVisit Modashout of 10
- Data
- Search, AI search, lookalikes, reports, audience, credibility, collaborations, live posts
- Freshness
- Indexed: basics weekly, audience about monthly. Raw API is live
- Plans from
- $16,200 a year (Discovery API)
- Free trial
- Free test calls; testing credits via sales
- Billing
- Annual credits, paid by bank transfer
- API
- REST; example code in Node, Python, Java
Modash has the deepest vetting data behind any API in this category. The Discovery API searches across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube with filters on bio, brands, engagement, follower growth, topics and weighted audience age, gender, language and location, plus AI search, lookalikes and a collaborations endpoint that shows which brands a creator has worked with. Reports carry estimated audience demographics and a credibility score: the share of followers Modash judges to be real. Modash says it covers 380M+ profiles, though its own API help article still says 250M+.
It’s also one of only three vendors here that publish API prices. Search costs 0.01 credits per result and a full report costs 1 credit. If the reported entry tier of 3,000 credits a month is right, that’s about $4.50 per 1,000 search results and $450 per 1,000 reports. The docs are OpenAPI-based, there are free test calls for an Instagram search and the @instagram report, and GET /account shows what you have left. Rate limits are tight on the expensive calls, about 2 requests a second for reports and search, shared across every key on the account.
The catch is the door. The Discovery API starts at $16,200 a year, annual only, by bank transfer, and Modash says plainly it has no monthly or pay-as-you-go plans. Your app subscription doesn’t count. If vetting is the product and you have the budget, start here. If you’re still working out whether creator data belongs in your product, start with influencers.club and come back.
Good
- The richest filters and report data in the category, including audience estimates and a credibility score
- Every credit cost is published, and failed requests aren’t charged
- OpenAPI docs with free test calls and a balance endpoint
Not so good
- Discovery API starts at $16,200 a year, annual only, paid by bank transfer
- No monthly or pay-as-you-go option, and app plans don’t include API access
- Instagram, TikTok and YouTube only
3. influencers.club
Self-serve access with contact enrichmentVisit influencers.clubout of 10
- Data
- Discovery, similar creators, enrichment by handle or email, audience overlap, posts, monitoring
- Freshness
- Indexed search; enrichment fetched at request time (vendor says)
- Plans from
- $208 a month (Pro, API + dashboard)
- Free trial
- 30 API requests on a trial account
- Billing
- Credits; no annual commitment on monthly plans (FAQ)
- API
- REST only; MCP server
influencers.club is the easiest serious API to buy. Pro is listed from $208 (billing basis not stated), includes API access, and monthly plans need no annual commitment. The only other published price for an API with audience data is Modash’s $16,200 a year. Credit costs are published per endpoint and only charged when data comes back: discovery is 0.01 credits per creator, a profile with a validated email is 0.2, a full enrichment is 1. At the best published rate of $0.23 a credit, that’s $2.30 per 1,000 discovery results and $46 per 1,000 profiles with email.
It’s built like a data vendor rather than a campaign suite. The endpoint list covers discovery, similar creators, audience overlap, connected socials, enrichment by handle or by email, batch enrichment, creator posts and monitoring with webhooks. The 300 requests a minute limit is generous next to Modash’s, though Discovery has a daily credit cap of its own. There are no SDKs, but there are HubSpot, Salesforce, Snowflake, Clay, n8n and MCP integrations.
Two things keep it behind Influship and Modash. It has no fake-follower score, so vetting is on you. And its claims are the loudest in the category: 340M+ profiles, 47 platforms, verified emails for all of them. The pricing page shows $140 and $208 while its FAQ still says $199, and the free trial is described two different ways. Buy it for contact enrichment and self-serve access, and check the emails before you trust the list.
Good
- Self-serve and listed from $208, with no annual commitment on monthly plans
- Clear credit costs per endpoint, charged only when data comes back
- Enrichment by handle or email returns a validated email, with batch and webhook support
Not so good
- No fake-follower or credibility score, only a quality score
- The boldest claims in the category, including verified contacts for all 340M creators, and nothing independent backs them yet
- Small, split review base: 3.9 from 16 Trustpilot reviews, with a complaint about an unexpected recurring charge
4. HypeAuditor
Fraud checks across the most platformsVisit HypeAuditorout of 10
- Data
- Reports, discovery, audience, fraud scores, brand mentions, market analysis, campaigns
- Freshness
- Indexed; reports built on request
- Plans from
- Quote only
- Free trial
- Via sales
- Billing
- Separate paid service on a subscription
- API
- REST only
HypeAuditor has the best case for vetting at scale. It started as a fake-follower checker and still leads on it: its reports carry an Audience Quality Score, and HypeAuditor says it detects 95.5% of known fraud activity, a figure no one has audited independently. It also covers more ground than anyone here, with report endpoints for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Twitch and Snapchat, plus discovery, brand mentions, Instagram market analysis, lists, media plans and campaign management.
As an API, it’s the hardest of the top three to get into. The API is a separate paid service you buy through sales, with no public price list, and the pricing page has been replaced by a demo form. HypeAuditor’s own blog says app plans start at $299 a month billed annually, and the API is sold separately. Reports are generated on request and return 202 while they build, which means writing polling code from day one.
The docs are public and cover a lot, and HypeAuditor has 274 reviews on G2 at 4.6, which is more user evidence than any other vendor in this ranking. If fraud checks are the reason you want creator data, it’s worth the sales call. If you need to know what it costs before you start, Modash and influencers.club tell you.
Good
- Fraud detection is what it’s known for, with an Audience Quality Score in its reports
- Widest platform list here: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X and Twitch, plus Snapchat reports
- Broad endpoint families, from discovery and reports to campaign management and market analysis
Not so good
- No public API price; access is a separate paid service through sales
- The pricing page is now a demo form, so even the app price comes from a blog post
- Reports are built on request, so calls can return 202 and need polling
5. Upfluence
Teams already on UpfluenceVisit Upfluenceout of 10
- Data
- Search, profiles, audience, posts, social listening stream, workflows, payments
- Freshness
- Indexed; refresh schedule not published
- Plans from
- Quote only, 12-month minimum
- Free trial
- After an initial call
- Billing
- Tokens bought through an account manager
- API
- REST; MCP server
Upfluence’s API makes most sense if you already pay for Upfluence. It’s sold as tokens through an account manager, with a shared balance across data types, and the platform behind it has a 12-month minimum contract. No token price is published; the help centre’s one example is that a token buys 5 profiles. G2 lists the app from $478 a month for the search-and-contact module, which is the closest thing to a floor.
The docs are good. They’re public, OpenAPI-based, include a token simulator, and set out errors and limits clearly: about 20 requests a second or 100 concurrent, which is roomy next to Modash. The endpoint list goes beyond creator data, into social listening streams, workflow campaigns and payments, which matters if you’re wiring Upfluence into an ecommerce stack.
As a source of creator data, though, it trails. Upfluence claims 12M+ creators, against claims of hundreds of millions at Modash and HypeAuditor. Its own docs say X content can’t be retrieved reliably and is no longer supported, and blogs have been dropped for good. Its Trustpilot score is 3.0 from 55 reviews, with contract lock-in the main complaint. Unless you’re already an Upfluence customer, skip it for Modash, influencers.club or Influship.
Good
- Public, well-organised docs with an OpenAPI spec and a token simulator
- Generous rate limits: about 20 requests a second or 100 concurrent
- Workflow and payments endpoints that the data-only vendors don’t have
Not so good
- Quote only, bought in tokens through an account manager, with a 12-month minimum contract
- A claimed 12M+ creators, far smaller than the discovery-first rivals
- X post content and blogs are no longer supported, and Trustpilot sits at 3.0 with repeated lock-in complaints
What creator data you can get through an API
Search and profile stats are standard. Past that, the five differ a lot, and some of what’s on a sales page isn’t in the API.
- Creator search
- Everyone
- Most are filter-based, and Modash and influencers.club have the deepest filters. Influship’s is the only semantic search: describe the creator in plain English.
- Lookalikes
- Most
- Find creators like one you already work with. Influship takes up to 10 weighted seeds.
- Profile stats
- Everyone
- Followers, engagement and recent posts. Freshness ranges from about weekly to unpublished.
- Audience demographics
- Estimated
- Modelled age, gender and location at Modash, HypeAuditor, Upfluence and influencers.club’s higher tiers. Influship looks at who engages with a creator’s kind of content instead.
- Fake-follower scores
- Two
- Modash’s credibility score and HypeAuditor’s Audience Quality Score. influencers.club has only a quality score.
- Contact emails
- Most
- influencers.club and Influship return a validation status. Modash returns emails creators list publicly.
- Platforms
- 1 to 6
- From Instagram and TikTok (Influship) to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Twitch and Snapchat reports (HypeAuditor).
- Private accounts
- Not available
- Public profiles only. Audience estimates fail when a follower list is hidden.
Can you use creator data from an API?
Yes, but the vendor’s compliance isn’t yours. Modash says plainly that its index holds public data and creators don’t opt in. Once creator data lands in your product, how you store and use it is your problem, whoever you bought it from.
In the EU and UK, GDPR covers public profile data too. Keep what you need, have a reason for keeping it, and delete creators who ask. Contact emails are where teams get caught: outreach to a personal address carries more risk than reading follower counts.
This is a summary, not legal advice. Our guide to the law goes further.
Where API calls trip you up
These come from the vendors’ own docs, and they’re what to plan for before you write code.
Reports that aren’t ready
HypeAuditor builds reports on request and returns 202 until they’re done. Influship’s creator ingest works the same way. Plan for polling.
Tight rate limits
Modash allows about 2 requests a second on reports and search, shared across every key on the account. influencers.club allows 300 a minute but caps Discovery daily. Upfluence allows about 20 a second.
Private and missing creators
Audience estimates need a visible follower list. Small creators may not be indexed at all: Modash only covers profiles with 1,000+ followers.
Paying for nothing
Most don’t charge for failures: Modash skips failed requests, influencers.club only charges when data comes back, and Influship doesn’t bill errors or email misses. Ask HypeAuditor and Upfluence how they handle it.
Check what you have left
Credit-based APIs are easy to overspend. Modash has a balance endpoint, and Influship reports the cost of each call in a response header.
# Modash: remaining Discovery credits and Raw API requests
GET /account
Authorization: Bearer <your token>
# Influship: a database profile lookup (0.1 credits)
GET https://api.influship.com/v1/profiles/instagram/{username}
X-API-Key: <your key>
# Every Influship response carries:
# X-Credits-Charged credits this call cost
# RateLimit-* what's left this minute and hourQuestions
What’s the difference between an influencer data API and a scraping API?
A scraping API fetches public posts and profiles when you ask. An influencer data API answers from the vendor’s own index, so it can search across creators and add lookalikes, audience estimates, fraud scores and contacts.
Which influencer data API is cheapest to start with?
Influship: no minimum and 500 free credits, covering Instagram and TikTok. For multi-platform data with audience estimates, influencers.club Pro, listed from $208, is the cheapest published price.
Can I use my Modash or HypeAuditor app plan to call the API?
No. Modash says app plans can’t be used for API access, and HypeAuditor sells its API as a separate paid service.
Which APIs publish their prices?
Modash, influencers.club and Influship. HypeAuditor and Upfluence are quote only.
Which APIs can flag fake followers?
Modash, with its credibility score, and HypeAuditor, with its Audience Quality Score. influencers.club has a quality score.
Do these APIs cover TikTok and YouTube?
Modash, HypeAuditor and influencers.club do. Upfluence’s docs only show Instagram and YouTube examples, and it no longer supports X post content. Influship’s search and creator data cover Instagram and TikTok, with YouTube coming soon.
